Living Out God’s Story

Writing has been a love of mine since I was very young! I’ve always had a wild imagination and loved to make up stories.

Before I could write I’d paint pictures and bring them to my grandmother telling her what was happening in the paintings. The saint of a woman she is created a watercolor quilt where she embroidered the descriptions on each quilt square that held my paintings.

As I got older, I found a love of words and all the ways they can come to life: story books, poetry, music, theatre, journalism, speeches and many more ways to share what’s on one’s heart and mind including…blogging!

Discovering writing as art has been such a gift to me! I used to write silly stories. Over time, I started writing short pieces and poetry to express my feelings and my wild ideas. As a teenager, I even wrote a novel that I haven’t attempted to publish at this point in time. Writing became therapeutic for years. When I went through some really hard times in my 20s, I noticed a lot of my writing was similar to the Psalms of David. A lot of pouring out my feelings but ultimately declaring God is good through it all!

I recently discovered the term “Kingdom Writer” and have clung to it ever since! I truly feel writing about the life changing and saving power of Jesus’ love and sacrifice is a part of my calling! I’m blessed that God chooses to speak through me! I pray to always bring glory to him and that my words are an encouragement to all who need to know the Truth of how deeply loved they are!

I am grateful to have this blog and the support I already do from many who love me! I have felt called to be more diligent in writing and getting all these ideas and concepts posted for others to read rather than having multiple unfinished documents sitting around on a Drive.

I am forever honored that God saw that the world needed a “me” and that he has been writing my story since before I was even born!

Daughter of the King, which makes me a Princess in God's Kingdom! I am also a wife to an incredibly sweet and goofy man of God. I am a social worker by trade and compassionate servant to help in the healing of mind and spirit through God's gifts to me and connecting vulnerable people to the source of HOPE and LOVE, Jesus Christ! I love to write, sing, color/draw/paint, take photos of nature and capture moments of joy in life. I am passionate about the mental health and overall well-being of children, teens, and young adults because I know what it is like to struggle through life and faith in dark times. Looking forward to providing this blog as a source of light that Christ has so graciously given me to shine to represent him! The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. -John 1:5 NLT
