Opportunities Await: Waiting on God

I just returned from a conference that gave me so much more knowledge and action items to take back with me when I return to the office. That being said, my future remains on my mind. While I am trying to remain open minded and open handed, I often drift off into what I think will be the best choices for the years ahead. I wrote this piece after having multiple people I highly respect bring an alternative dream to my attention. I can sometimes get caught up and don’t truly pause to process. So this is my attempt…

What do you have for me Lord?

I’m blessed where I am, but I feel you have more for me.

What is my next step, Lord?

Where will you lead?

I want to follow you and serve where I’m meant to be.

Guide me to fill the need you have equipped me for in this season.

Do I turn left or right or keep moving straight ahead?

No matter where I go, you are there with me. You have always been and always will be right beside and go on before me.

Your ways are higher than mine.

Your calling on my life is beyond what I can dream.

I’m listening for your voice. Make your desires for me known.

Close doors if they aren’t meant for me to walk through.

Lord, I’m giving it all over to you!

I surrender my career, my family, and my life to you because you are faithful. I trust you with everything because without you I wouldn’t have anything.

Help me Lord! Give me direction when I feel lost.

Take the reins and keep me from taking things upon myself!

You are an awesome God with a beautiful plan!

Let it be so!

Verse of the Day 3/4/2026 (Day of Writing)

Daughter of the King, which makes me a Princess in God's Kingdom! I am also a wife to an incredibly sweet and goofy man of God. I am a social worker by trade and compassionate servant to help in the healing of mind and spirit through God's gifts to me and connecting vulnerable people to the source of HOPE and LOVE, Jesus Christ! I love to write, sing, color/draw/paint, take photos of nature and capture moments of joy in life. I am passionate about the mental health and overall well-being of children, teens, and young adults because I know what it is like to struggle through life and faith in dark times. Looking forward to providing this blog as a source of light that Christ has so graciously given me to shine to represent him! The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. -John 1:5 NLT
